Overview

Orientation-independent barcode reading — however the consumer places the bottle.

Our module is a ring architecture of 10 industrial barcode scanners arranged around the bottle bin. Each scanner looks at a different angle; together they form 360° coverage. The consumer doesn't need to rotate the bottle to a specific orientation — the system completes the transaction at the first successful read.

Thanks to simultaneous multi-angle reading, a high read rate is achieved even with partially worn, bent or dirty labels. The result (barcode number + confidence level) is delivered to the manufacturer's control card via a standard interface; from there the product validation and deposit-decision chain begins.

02 · Decision

Simultaneous validation

Candidate reads from 10 scanners are processed simultaneously. The first successful validation completes the read; misreads from bad angles are eliminated, preventing erroneous acceptances.

03 · Format

1D + 2D + GTIN

Common 1D barcode families plus 2D codes (Data Matrix, QR, etc.) and GTIN validation algorithms are standard. New format requests are addressed via software updates.

    Orientation-independent reading

    The consumer doesn't need to rotate the bottle to a specific direction. The 360° ring coverage reads the product whatever its orientation — improving user experience and acceptance speed.

    Robust on damaged labels

    Multi-read strategy for partially peeled, crushed or stained labels. Out of 10 different angles, one is enough to complete a clean read.

    GTIN validation

    Beyond raw barcode recognition, GTIN check-digit validation is performed. Attempts to accept malformed or counterfeit barcodes are filtered out.

  • 04

    Dual verification with AI

    Optional: the barcode read result is cross-validated with the material prediction from the AI Vision Classification module — protecting the machine when the label and actual material disagree.

Software

The result (barcode + format + check-digit validation status) is published as a standard message. Optional connection to the Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics software; read success rates flow into field telemetry.
