Overview

The physical intelligence of the manufacturer's machine.

Our control boards read signals from physical sensors inside the manufacturer's RVM and command motor drives. Our ESP32-based architecture processes weighing, bin level, current monitoring and safety signals at low latency. Communicates with industrial motor drives via Modbus RTU.

No need to develop an additional board or write embedded software on the manufacturer side. Boards are delivered with ready firmware; firmware is updated OTA in the field. Continuous field-data feedback informs firmware improvements.

Board architecture

Two boards, one coordinated control.

C.1 · Sensor Board

Sensor board

Collects all physical measurements inside the RVM and delivers them to the manufacturer's system in standard format.

  • Weighing: load-cell-based material weight
  • Bin level: ultrasonic sensors across multiple compartments
  • Current monitoring: continuous tracking of motor / supply current
  • Watchdog + thread-safe operation: the board doesn't lock up
  • Jam detection signal (automatic power-off trigger)
C.2 · Motor Board

Motor board

Commands industrial motor drives via Modbus RTU, reports motor status and error codes back to the manufacturer.

  • Modbus RTU: compatible with industrial VFD-class drives
  • Motor status, direction, speed commands
  • Overcurrent protection (automatic power-off in case of jam)
  • Error code decoding and remote diagnostics signal
  • Service cover interlock integration
Capabilities

Industrial electronics that work in real field conditions.

  • 01

    Watchdog protected

If a software lockup occurs in the microcontroller, the hardware watchdog automatically resets the system. Thread-safe critical sections safely handle concurrent sensor reading and command processing.

  • 02

    Automatic power-off

The motor is stopped immediately when the current threshold is exceeded during a jam. Power-off is also triggered when the service cover is opened — operator intervention is performed safely.

  • 03

    OTA firmware updates

New firmware versions are distributed remotely to the manufacturer's fleet. No field visit or USB update required; the manufacturer's service cost goes down.

  • 04

    Industrial drive support

Compatible with common industrial motor drives via the Modbus RTU protocol. Error code decoding and remote diagnostics route service teams correctly.

Typical application scenarios

Which RVM model / which need is it suitable for?

New development

New RVM platforms

For machines designed from scratch, takes the electronics and embedded software burden; the manufacturer focuses on mechanics and UX.

Retrofit

Existing fleet modernization

Replaces legacy electronics in deployed units; brings modern Modbus RTU and OTA update capabilities.

Co-functioning

Together with other Morecycle modules

Operates in the same coordination logic as Crushing & Compaction, AI Vision and Barcode Reading; single-supplier integration.

Market alignment

DBYS & EU DRS readiness

Counter signals, status codes and transaction timestamps are produced in a format aligned with regulatory reporting requirements.

Integration

Delivered to the manufacturer's machine with ready firmware.

Mechanical

Delivered in standard industrial card format; mounted in the electrical cabinet of the RVM panel. Card dimensions and mount hole patterns can be tailored to the manufacturer.

Electrical

Industrial supply + Modbus RTU connection + sensor I/O lines. The manufacturer only needs to pull the supply and data lines; the necessary protection circuitry on the board is standard.

Software

Boards ship with ready firmware; no embedded development is needed on the manufacturer side. New versions are distributed via OTA. Board status optionally flows into the Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics software.

After NDA
